The Publix Sabor in the Town and Country Shopping Plaza at 1910 Lake Worth Road closed the day after Christmas.
Now Radio Shack has filed Chapter 11 and is closing. Sprint and Standard General a hedge fund agreed to buy 1,500 to 2,400 of RadioShack’s 4,000 company-owned stores in the United States. Sprint is expected to run special “store within a store” departments in up to 1,750 of those stores. This brings to mind that any corporation in these times is not safe from bankruptcy--John Szerdi brought up the fact that Siemens has been around for 169 years suggesting their stability as one good reason for doing business with them. In most cases this would be true but who would have thought Radio Shack would bite the dust?
Hurry in to shop while inventory lasts...not much left.

They told us the other day at the Monterrey on Dixie, that now a new owner bought these stores, and he is closing the Monterrey on Dixie(it is already closed) and is not going to open this Monterrey at the old Sabor Publix location now after all, so much for a store there. Wish they would put a Save A Lot again in this city or another presidente there, we need a good grocery store there.
ALDI would be a good fit for the old Sabor location
6:10...not a bad idea. Publix downtown is too expensive. It's almost a joke.
They already have an Aldi on Congress between LW and 10th ave so that won't happen. Go to the presidente on Dixie with 14th N, it has the best prices in town, 1/3 of the price of Publix.
Hard to believe Anon @ 644 PM, you suggest LW elite shop among all those american born, NON US citizens that frequent President Supermarket...
Have you ever been in the Presidente ob 10th, I looked at there sales add, good deal, but the stench was unbearable, was in the store less than 15 seconds and had to walk out.
