Help Hatcher Mango Hill win a Grant
Hatcher Mango Hill fans, we would appreciate your DAILY VOTE for the FedEx Small Business Grant Contest. You can vote DAILY until March 17th using your Facebook, Twitter or Instagram account. CLICK HERE TO VOTE
If we win the grant, we hope to buy a newer bucket truck to help us with mango picking as our old truck is tired and breaks down frequently. We also hope to expand our business to include growing and selling organic vegetables, selling honey, jellies and jams.

HATCHER MANGO HILL, Lantana, Florida www.hatchermangohill.com
A family business began in the 1940’s when John Hatcher registered his newly created variety of mango. His grove is now Hatcher Mango Hill.
WHAT MAKES US STAND OUT
Our customers love to come here for our delicious organically grown Hatcher mangoes but they also enjoy the friendly small-town welcome and conversation once they arrive at Hatcher Mango Hill. They love that our fruit is fresh and only the mangoes that are carefully picked are sold. We were honored when our Hatcher variety was named “Florida’s superior mango” by Slow Food a few years ago. We also sell specially grafted Hatcher mango trees. What a gift John Hatcher left for all of us to enjoy!
HOW WE WOULD USE THE GRANT MONEY
Our equipment is very old and needs constant repair which is a significant expense and concern. If we were to receive grant money from this FedEx contest, we would use it for a newer bucket truck and additional gas/electric golf carts. As a summertime only business we have limited income for such large expenses but it would make us much more productive. It could also enable us to begin an all year business growing and selling organic vegetables, and selling honey, jellies, and jam.
