"One of our greatest resources [in Lake Worth] is our cottages."
~ John Szerdi
The question posed to the candidates at the South Palm Park Neighborhood Association forum was "What are your proposals to make Lake Worth a destination city to attract people from all over the world?
Take a stroll one weekend at our beach and stop a few people for a chat. You will find that people are visiting our beach from all over the world.
Instead of mentioning the real attractions that already make our city a destination such as our beach on the bright blue Atlantic Ocean and the closest beach to the Gulf Stream giving us the warmest of water, our new casino, and our golf course or talking about the development of international marketing on a larger scale, Szerdi says it is the 2,000 old houses that make up our city, the cottages. Now does he really think tourists come to Lake Worth to see old houses? Is that really the draw?
John Szerdi got campaign contributions from the married couple behind The Cottages of Lake Worth to the tune of $2,000 and he sits on their board.

Didn't the Cottages get $1500.00
from the heights PAC when they closed it down?
Didn't Szerdi side w/the state act of pretended legislation OVER THE PEOPLE when they refused to file the height vote results properly?
Things that make you go hummm...
How come you won't post my response to Suzanne's lies above?
I will not post anything that I consider a falsehood. Have no idea what you wrote or if it was an anonymous attack. Everyone knows that Weetha is Suzanne. So, post under your real name.
I didn't attack Suzanne. I commented on her lies. The gist of my comment dealt with the commission taking the advice of their attorney over the advice of the Constitution Lady. That although you disagree with the "law", he advised them to follow it until someone (maybe a judge) tells them otherwise.
I've asked you nicely. Do not use a citizen's name to call her a liar when she is not a public figure. Please.
We all have opinions and I am rather sure she does not agree with yours.
Torcivia's "law" is just that. You are right on one thing, the heights referendum and its results are in effect until such time a judge says otherwise.
Here's the link showing the $1500.00 donated to 'the cottages' from the "Friends of the Gulfstream" PAC or more commonly known as the heights PAC because it was about a heights vote - (Feel better anonymous?)

The NAPC got $433.71
The problem isn't the Constitution LADY trumping the advice of a mislead lawyer but the actual CONSTITUTION that spells out the authority GRANTED to the Government by the people - never the other way around!
This wasn't an LDR change but a CHARTER CHANGE (City Constitution) but this crew thinks any 3-2 vote does whatever they want it to!
This 'type' of person is dangerous and their ignorance of the law and Un-A-Lien-Able rights is so off it's hard to understand why they just don't just move to a communist, socialist or fascist country that obviously seems to suit their style better! It's already set up the way they like it - no changes are necessary - I'll gofund a ticket to get them there!
Webster wrote the dictionary so the words couldn't be changed - Sustainability and the New Urbanism Dictionary coupled w/the CONGRESS for the New Urbanism is a slap in the face of freedom and anyone who DIED DEFENDING IT!
Everyone knows that Weetha is Suzanne
That's why they try to imitate her on TOB. Why bother if no one listens to her? I think they do and when others speak 'constitution' it gets their panties in a bunch - why?
Perhaps. But the president of the United States has little regard for our Constitution so why should we believe that these bozos have more reverence for it than does Obama? Their panties are not in a bunch, but drooping loosely as their ideas.
