House Speaker Mike Johnson on Thursday notified Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) that the House will deliver the articles of impeachment against DHS Chief Alejandro Mayorkas to the Senate on April 10.“Together with the 11 House impeachment managers, I sent a letter to Senator Schumer telling him we’ll deliver the articles of Secretary Mayorkas’ impeachment to the Senate on April 10th and that he must hold a full trial,” Speaker Johnson said.
The resolution, H. Res. 863, accused Secretary Mayorkas of high crimes and misdemeanors, setting the stage for a contentious vote in the House of Representatives.
Specifically, the two articles contained in the resolution accuse Mayorkas of “willful and systemic refusal to comply with the law” in enforcing border policy and “breach of public trust.”

The federal government is using its vast resources and its largest agencies to register new voters and expand mail-in balloting, with the help of nonprofits.A federal effort to register voters using the government’s vast reach, including throughout the U.S. prison system, is raising concerns from critics who have said it won’t benefit Democrats and Republicans equally.
Mississippi Secretary of State Michael Watson wrote to U.S. Attorney General Merrick Garland on March 6 alleging that agencies under the attorney general’s charge are “attempting to register people to vote, including potentially ineligible felons, and to co-opt state and local officials into accomplishing this goal.”
The allegation relates to President Joe Biden’s Executive Order 14019, which states, “The head of each agency shall evaluate ways in which the agency can, as appropriate and consistent with applicable law, promote voter registration and voter participation.”
Among other things, this order has forced U.S. Marshals to modify more than 900 contracts with prisons and jails to provide voter registration documents and facilitate mail-in voting for inmates, Mr. Watson wrote. “We have worked extremely hard to restore the confidence of Mississippi voters in our election process,” Mr. Watson told The Epoch Times.
“To have the Biden administration and the DOJ purposefully undermine these efforts and jeopardize the integrity of Mississippi’s elections is unacceptable.”

The contested law, known as the “Local Resident Voting Rights Amendment Act of 2022,” was passed by the D.C. Council in 2022 and removes the citizenship requirement for voting in municipal elections.
Non-citizen residents are now permitted to vote exclusively in local elections, such as for local representatives and on local initiatives, referenda, recalls, or charter amendment proposals.
The law allows non-citizen residents to run for government positions in D.C. and serve on the city’s Board of Elections, as stated in court documents.

Local governments could be required to pony up big money to meet the demands of legislation Gov. Ron DeSantis signed barring homeless people from either camping or sleeping on public property.The legislation, which takes effect on Oct. 1, requires local governments to designate a public space for camping or sleeping if shelter spaces are full. Local governments must also provide security, behavioral health services and bathrooms with running water, but Tallahassee is not sending additional money so that local governments can fulfill that mandate.
City officials are still looking into what the legislation, H.B. 1365, might mean for them.
So, what will Lake Worth Beach, that has tons of homeless as well as Palm Beach County, do?
With more and more illegals being dumped into our state, every city will have a huge expensive problem. Perhaps DeSantis can ship them to Rehoboth Beach, Delaware.

Georgia Judge Allows Trump Team to Appeal Fani Willis Disqualification Decision
On Wednesday, Fulton County Superior Court Judge Scott McAfee announced that President Trump and his co-defendants can appeal the disqualification decision made by Fani Willis.Judge McAfee had previously ruled that District Attorney Fani Willis could proceed with her RICO case against Trump and his associates in a 23-page decision.
However, he also mandated that Willis address any “appearance of impropriety” before the case can progress, ordering her to dismiss her lover Nathan Wade, the lead prosecutor she had assigned to pursue Trump.
Following this ruling, Nathan Wade resigned from the RICO case on Friday afternoon. The Georgia Court of Appeals now has 45 days to consider any appeals regarding Judge McAfee’s disqualification order. Trump’s attorney, Steve Sadow, described this decision by Judge McAfee as “highly significant.”

This new facility significantly modernizes our operations and allows us to better serve our customers.“Our new Electric System Operations Center (ESOC) is now officially completed and has been placed in service”, says Ed Liberty, Lake Worth Beach’s Electric Utility Director. “Housed within an existing City facility, this long-awaited new facility is the culmination of years of planning and preparation by various Lake Worth Beach Electric Utility departments. Team members from our System Operations, the Power Plant team, Engineering, Operational Technology, and Project Management Office helped design the facility and coordinated efforts to successfully transition all operations from the prior location.”
The new ESOC provides our electric utility with a modern, storm hardened and secure environment from which to monitor all aspects of the operation of our electric transmission and distribution system. Staffed around the clock, seven days per week, by a rotating team of Electric System Operators who monitor our electric system and dispatch crews to respond to power outages, direct network switching by field personnel, and issue work requests.
“Our new ESOC incorporates all of the technologies we’ve updated and installed over the past few years on a readily viewable and configurable interactive wall of monitors and smart boards that give us a broad overview of the electric system. A wall of interactive monitors tied to servers and multiple system sensors and meters gives us the ability to drill down in detail block by block and more quickly assess problems with our system and rapidly initiate corrective actions. This new facility significantly modernizes our operations and allows us to better serve our customers”, adds Jason Bailey, Assistant Director Electric System Operations.
The project was funded using proceeds from our Series 2020 Consolidated Utility Revenue Bond and is an element of our System Hardening and Reliability Improvement Program.
