More on Climate Change - Exhibits at Cultural Council

Cultural Council to Unveil Two Exhibits

The Cultural Council for Palm Beach County located at 601 Lake Avenue in Lake Worth Beach will unveil two striking exhibitions in its gallery spaces January 27. “Visualizing Climate Disruption,” on view to April 8, will take over the Main Gallery at the Cultural Council for Palm Beach County in Lake Worth Beach, while “Molly Aubry: Dark Luminosity” will command attention in the Solo Gallery to March 11.

In “Visualizing Climate Disruption,” more than 40 works by 15 artists will explore the effects of climate disruption and engage audiences in considering topics such as endangered species, shrinking habitats, pollution, and coastal resiliency.

Palm Beach County artists are uniquely positioned to observe the effects of climate disruption, as Florida is on the front lines of sea level rise, climbing temperatures, catastrophic storms, devastation of coral reefs, and disappearing seagrasses. The featured artists hope to collaborate with scientists to create interactive materials and educational programming that reaches and inspires broad audiences.

It would be one thing if any of these fools actually knew that the measures they were taking would stop, or slow down, or in any way restore the earth and the oceans to pre-carbon conditions. But they don't know, and in the meantime, they are just doing a lot of stupid things.

Those billionaires at Davos, whose best years are behind them, are making themselves look like overgrown prep school kids with a science project.

Give us a break John Kerry. Go home and look after your wife!

It's so embarrasing and Al Gore was the absolute worst.

As much as I would like to save the planet, I think it is a futile attempt. Sort of like rolling a rock up hill. I think it is all part of an evolutionary process that humans have nothing to do with.

We didn't create the earth, and I don't think we can destroy it.

Interestingly, I don't think people want to save the earth at all, I think it is their own lives they are concerned about.

To be an observer of humans, in Lake Worth, or any other location, and just watch their behavior, the cars they drive, (each person in a car that will fit 6 people) the 20 to 40 extra pounds they carry around, is laughable.

The earth will be fine, (look at Chernobyl) but I can't say the same for the people.
