Lineman from Lake Worth

The city of Lake Worth sent out information on the Lineman's rodeo in Lakeland, Florida. Below is part of that release. On Tuesday night, they were honored at Lake Worth City Hall.

Florida Linemen's Competition

"On Saturday April 22nd, the City of Lake Worth sent two teams and one apprentice to compete in FEMA’s 17th Annual Florida Linemen’s Competition held in Lakeland, Florida. The Florida Linemen’s Competition tests the knowledge, skill and teamwork of Line teams from across the state in a series of mock scenarios that mimic on-the-job tasks a line team may encounter. This was Lake Worth’s 6th time participating as competitors. Across the day’s five events Lake Worth’s Teams placed second in both the Hurt Man Rescue and the Pole Top Pin Change Out. A total of twenty-six Line Teams competed in the event.

In addition to the successes of Lake Worth’s teams, the City of Lake Worth Electric Utilities also received the Restoring Communities Award for its dedication and actions during Hurricane Matthew."

And from Glen Campbell's Wichita Lineman:  I am a lineman for the county (in this case Lake Worth) and I drive the main road. Searchin' in the sun for another overload. I hear you singin' in the wire, I can hear you ...

Great job, guys!
