In the history of Lake Worth, no one has ever seen anything like this. Obviously there is a lot to lose for some. Our Lake Worth election is
now being hijacked by big moneyed special interests and by the Trio commissioners who are caught up in the rapture of power. It is overwhelming to see this amount of money ($88,000) raised by Maxwell, Triolo and Amoroso in a small town election and virtually impossible to mount a strong opposition by anyone who has not been in the political arena, has not traveled all over on the taxpayer dime, networking here and there.
These are the facts...awesome...there are special interests behind the campaigns of the incumbents with some regular folks who believe the nonsense that is being spread by the Trio. How much money does it take to fudge the facts? Money is pouring in from
all over the place for these three incumbents. What's it going to take
to defeat special interests? Joe Citizen doesn't have much of a prayer against these odds.
To date:
TRIOLO: $25,090
JACQUES: $1,360
ANTIEAU: $1,475
MAXWELL: $31,360.11
HARTMAN: $5,619
AMOROSO: $31,605
MCALONAN: $9,145.15
Just think of the potholes they could fix with all that money.
The election is ten days away. Vote NO to these incumbents and reject all this money once and for all so that special interests can not control our city. We need honest government. We need elected officials who care about you, not developers.

They will all be re-elected. I know ALL of the employees hope they get voted out. They are all completely worthless
All we can hope is that enough people see through their lies and vote against these money hungry SOB's. mud slinging is one thing but dirty politics is another. Thanks for the dart board targets buys. Your faces really stand out well. There is a place in hell for people like you three. Hope you don't go to church and act like such caring individuals.
I am hoping there are smart people in Lake Worth who will vote against them. I believe good trumps evil and I am not giving up yet.

amoroso just put out his election campaign newspaper.
Who printed the magazine. The radical press. Sure hope everyone see him for who he really is.
Lies the incumbents told me on the latest flyer:
Focus on public safety: Haven't done it yet why should we believe you.
CONTINUE to maintain affordable utility rates: CONTINUE? WE HAVE STARTED YET. Hey everyone check your bills, do you see a change
Invest in infrastructure repairs such as street lighting, ROADWORK? AND Public works
Don't guess the pot holes fit into this lie
Preserve the small town charm of Lake Worth. Building ugly tall buildings???? Taking over green space for your personal projects. POC
The only ones moving forward are the people with money giving you three all the money.
VOTE FOR THE HONEST PEOPLE.
Today I was pissed when I went to park in the north end decal parking and there were no spaces early, I had to go down by benny's hardly anyone there, I hate that decal parking area, I like the beach only and go to the KP beach, I like their bathrooms and showers better. LW has really poor quality showers and dirty bathrooms. I like KP. I am pissed they moved have the parking down by benny's reminded of this again now only reminds me again that I will not vote for pam, andy, nor scott, nor will I ever eat at Benny's again. This pay to play and corruption needs to stop now. I despise pam, andy, scott, and benny's and what they did to us in this city. They can all go you know where!
Lynn, thank you for exposing the truth about these assholes. I won't ever vote for them ever again. We deserve better. Thank you for caring and loving Lake Worth like we all do. Let's kick their asses the hell out!
Thank you Lynn for exposing the truth and all you share. The greed, corruption, and dishonesty here is amazing in all these years of living here, it is getting so bad. I think you need to watch your back, I do not trust HH or these three, they are so desperate and so despicable. I am sure they hate you sharing the truth about all and your blog, I appreciate it, but would not put anything past these people, they are awful and seem like they will do anything to win, I am sure they want to silence you. Please be careful and watch your back with these people, they have become dangerous it seems. HH and the trio are so so bad. God I hope we can run them out of office and out of this city. Lynn, please be careful. Thank you for all you do. You are the best, thanks for loving this city like we all do. God bless.
And how many time did the "friend " of Lynn's above remind her to watch her back ? It won't work jerky-jerk! Your side may be cowards, but we are not. The truth can't be hidden. It always comes out !Go Lynn !!!
Did you ever wonder what happens to your campaign donations here in Florida after the election. Well here is your answer:
Unused campaign funds
Here in Florida, the following applies:
Local (County) government: Losers may return funds to contributors, donate to eligible 401(c)(3) charities, OR PAY THEMSELVES BACK. Winners may do the same, but also may create an "office" account where the money can be spent on things for the office that would not normally be provided by taxpayer monies.
And what do you think the trio will do with their money? Think I know. We already know that Maxwell has bought himself a new car.
$25-$30k each, is that really a "fortune"? I don't think so, unless maybe your commenters only $20 or $30k per year or less. Well that's just sad, maybe you guys should've made better choices in life and you wouldn't have to complaint because you have to pay an extra dollar to park at the beach.
I was just reviewing Scott Maxwell's campaign donations and expenses to date. I was appalled that The Police Benevolent Assoc. "political Fund" donated $1000.00 to his campaign. I used to give to them but I no longer will be doing so. I thought (stupid me) that all of the money went to the Policemen.

To 9:46am - You really are a piece of work, Asshole. $25-30K each is a fortune to the middle class working people. To say we should've made better choices in life, you are disrespectful to those who have chose to put a roof over their heads, send their kids to college, pay medical expenses not covered by insurances, taken care of their parents when they became ill. Not everyone is lucky enough to make a fortune. I made a great choice by becoming a nurse and helping others. I make $30K A YEAR.
You are the biggest Asshole I have ever heard of. The money collected on these campaigns from innocent people that you are demeaning...... Too bad they didn't know they didn't make the right choices in life.
Hey, Anon at 10:04. You are a self righteous, SOB. Obviously you didn't loose your job because the company you were working for decided to downsize and to move their operations overseas to save them money. That choice was not made by them. God, you are disgusting.
To the anonymous idiot spokesman for the trio from hell @ 10:04:
Yes, $88,000 in contributions for positions paying $14.5 and $15.5 grand is a fortune. Maybe not if you are rolling in wealth from a holding company and never met any pol you could not buy. But in a 7 square mile city with relatively low real estate prices compared to surrounding areas like Palm Beach, or Wellington; this is more than enough fortune to buy politicians who are already catering to outside interests. Pay to Play is ripe for the picking here, especially so with a gang of 3 who already have learned well how to play far out of the sunshine.
Implying that those who expect to be represented in government are sad and "should've made better choices in life" really sounds like the height of arrogance and sleaze. I.E. read between the lines and the message is VERY CLEAR: IF YOU'RE NOT RICH AND CAN'T BUY YOUR OWN POLITICIAN, YOU HAVE NO RIGHT TO COMPLAIN OR BE REPRESENTED OR BE HEARD. SO SHUT UP YOU LOW LIFES.
This sounds very much like those on the ITN committee who were just rolling all over themselves with laughter at the stipulation that development at a public beach must have some redeeming public benefit. And the answer: Tee, hee, roll on the floor belly laugh, is that well, "We could sell a few memberships to a few Lake Worth citizens for $2500." Listen to it on the ITN audio. Sure sounds like the same people. Message: you build the beach, and we will use it as we please. We pay the majority of your officials way more than any salary and you all should know what "Moving Lake Worth Forward" really means: they work for us, not voters, you poor disgusting schmucks!
Note to 9:46 am. Glad to see which side your bread is buttered on. I can see you are supporting Maxwell, Triolo and Amoroso as they have no morals either.
I am all to well aware of the moneyed interests. The amounts continue to stagger me. Thanks, Lynn, for a glimpse of truth here. But I do still have a lot of hope. The have dug their own graves many times over by not representing anyone but special interests. Going door to door, again and again I hear the same refrain. They are doing nothing to address the chief complaints of the voters: pot holes, crime, blight.
They have way more money. And why not? Their chief business is being bought and paid for, even campaigning as a unit. But they have done some of our work for us by alienating seemingly a majority of the ordinary voters who are not developers. I think the worst thing we can do is get discouraged. And I adamantly refuse!!THAT'S EXACTLY HOW THE TRIO FROM HELL WANTS US TO FEEL... And that will never will win an election.
We won on the bond, and that too was a David and Goliath; but we still did it. I'm on overdrive 24/7 till March 15. It ain't over till it's over. But if we give up, or feel like giving up; it might as well be over. We have done it before and I have faith we will do it again. So far they can only buy politicians; NOT VOTERS!!! I learned long ago: Ya use what ya got; not what you wish you had. As I see it we have a City to take back and a lot of voters who are disgusted with how their city has been handled. That's pretty good odds.
PAY TO PLAY.
I agree it is ALL PAY TO PLAY! How sad. andy, pam, and scott should be ashamed of themselves, and they are Catholic, how sad. Very despicable. I will never go to Benny's ever again, that whole decal parking switch still pisses me off today. I am afraid they are all going to hell. Keep playing with your pay trio, hope you get what you deserve someday. Nasty politicians! These guys ALL need our prayers. It is never too late to repent and change your ways, God will always welcome you home, come home like the prodigal son did today at mass. Be honest, earn respect, do what is right scotty and all.
You sold your soul for money. The Prince of Darkness awaits you. He has reserved a special place in hell for you. Enjoy
It's over.
'Taking over green space for your personal projects POC', what the he'll are you talking about? The land in the POC area is owned by individuals not the city. We, the City, is responsible for installing the underground utilities and infrastructure such as roads and sidewalks. I don't understand why that fact is so hard to understand. And please, don't give me the line of crap that Frank, Diane, Gary, and Ryan spout off - the $1.4M federal grant money had to be matched to receive the award. The City's funds come from the Utiluty fund which specifically is designated for Infrastructure in the POC - by law the city can not redirect these funds to any projects other than the infrastructure needed in the POC unless someone wants to lose the matching grant funds from the Feds.
BS
First of all, I never heard that this was a "matching" grant. Where did you hear that one?
There is no earthly reason that we have to take $7 to $8 million out of Utility reserves to pour into this area when we have a crumbling city.
There is not reason why we had to annex this street into the city so that we could maintain it...we can't maintain a damn thing.
We have way too many pressing problems instead of spending $15 to $20 million at the POC, Maxwell's Field of Dreams, that will take 50 years to EVER recapture the investment there if it is ALL developed.
OOps. You are so used to redirecting funds that can't stand the truth. Wait maybe you all don't know how to tell the truth anymore. Taking money out the utility funds for this wonderful (NOT) pet project of yours instead of using it to improve the city itself is disgusting. By the way how much is our Hurricane Fund now in the negative after you all used the money for your projects. God help us if we have a Hurricane because you guys spent all of the money in reserve. Can you predict the future and insure us that we will never get hit by a hurricane again. Didn't feel that we needed that money for something that might never happen according to your logic. This city owes so much money in interest on loans that you guys have taken out that we will never get out of the hole.
