The Hudson Holdings Boyz

Comment Up
Heavy hitters
Former commissioner John Szerdi, Blake Macdiarmid, Steven Michael

Well we know who Szerdi and Michael are but do you know who Blake Macdiarmid is?

When a political consultant in 2013 sued Palm Beach County Court Judge Marni Bryson for non-payment, Bryson's attorney claimed it was a shakedown without any merit. Macdiarmid was married to Judge Bryson at that time. He met her when he was her campaign consultant in 2010 while he was still married to Dorothy. Bryson and Macdiarmid married in 2013. In 2014, Judge Bryson divorced him for "cheating on her." Source:  Jose Lambiet

MacDiarmid served as lead consultant for the successful passage of a $24 million parks and community ballot referendum, was chief strategist with the City of Fort Lauderdale to pass a critical $40 million public safety ballot issue, and has also worked as a strategist with Lynn University, the Republican Party, Florida on the Move and business and neighborhood advocacy groups. In March 2014, Scott Maxwell paid MacDiarmid $3,000 for campaign services and consulting. He also helped mayor Pam Triolo in her campaign.

So, Hudson Holdings has brought in the heavy hitter. This would not be happening without the cooperation of some big wigs in the city.

Maxwell and Triolo are pretending they don't know a thing about it.

This all the city manager's fault. Nothing happens without him agreeing to it unless he is just not worth his salt.

What an incestuous little group we have in Lake Worth ! Blake MacDiarmid was an advisor to Mayor Pam Triolo and in 2014 he was ALSO paid 3,000 by Commissioner Scot Maxwell for campaign services and consulting.
Now the Mayor told me to my face that she didn't know anything about this new Hudson Holdings effort to take over our beach. Even though Hudson Holdings sent her a letter Sept. 25th telling her about this. Ditto Commissioner Maxwell. Ditto the city attorney . Commissioner Amoroso scurried away before I could speak to him.
If Channel Five were a Dr. they would be sued for malpractice.

As it turns out, the letter was dated Sep 28 and hand-delivered to city hall.

Guess who every employee in this city answers to. US,me and you. We are their ultimate bosses. There is NO room for employees who LIE to the public. For WHATEVER reason. Cover ups are NOT going to be tolerated.Even if their supervisor or the city manager or the Mayor or a commissioner told them to cover something up, they are obligated to come forward with the truth. NO MORE EMPLOYEE LIES TO WE THE PEOPLE !

Sounds like a hired gun with some some heavy connections; the very fact that Hudson is pushing this so hard belies the truth of their repeated statements that they want "to help the City" out...they are changing tactics, trying a political strategy since the prevailing sentiment of the Lake Worth residents has been against them.

Do you honestly,..really and truly, think that us common folk can understand and run a city?
I don't know what the answer is, but I surely know that I couldn't.
We need resumes - not citizens voting because someone gave them cookies at their door.
Really. We need business minds...but where are they?
