Some bad News and some Good

The BAD NEWS-

A lot of bad news in Lake Worth over the past several days. First John G and now Dick Coffman.

Richard "Dick" Coffman, was a former teacher, Football, Basketball, and Swimming Coach at Lake Worth High School. He lost his courageous battle with cancer this morning. I knew Dick many years ago as he was best friends with another coach who was my friend. I came to know him as fun loving and wanting to bring out the best in all those for whom he taught and coached.

Bob McKnight, former State Legislator and a graduate of Lake Worth High said on his blog recently that he had the most indescribable respect for Dick Coffman. Read more at Bob McKnight's Blog.

The GOOD NEWS-

is that our own Virginia Thomas of Thomas Dance Studio after 8 days from recent major surgery, is now in rehab at Signature Healthcare and doing well. The Director there is another Lake Worth High School grad.
