Interesting, I could have sworn; I am the president of the Lake View Hgts. Neighborhood Assoc.. bounderies 6th Ave. S. to 12th. Ave & S. A. St. to I-95. We have no idea who Mark is, he has never asked us for his election. I will addressing the w/the city on Mon. We addressed this issue last March.

No doubt the NA chosen name of Genesis was well thought out--the event consisting of the start of something; "the beginning of the war."
Well, now we learn there might be another NA for that very same area? Ah oh.

Ms. Hayes, after checking the City's website, I see that your association, Lake View Heights, is not listed as one of the City's official neighborhood associations. If you have an issue with the overlap of the Genesis Neighborhood Association, I believe you should bring it up with the Neighborhood Association President's Council. The email address, lakeworthnapc@yahoo.com, will put you in touch with ALL neighborhood association presidents and the Council's Board of Directors. In my opinion, they are better able to assist you then then city.

I would like to mention that the Tropical Ridge Neighborhood Association has proudly donated $100 to help get these brand new associations up and running. We look forward to working with all the associations west of Dixie Highway to help make Lake Worth a place we can all be proud to call home.

Lyn,

I guess no one would dare to accuse you of lacking an imagination. Come on Lyn "beginning of the war?" The suggestion for naming our Neighborhood Association Genesis came from none other than me and I stated the reason at the meeting. BECAUSE IT MEANS: an origin, creation, or beginning and since this was the beginning of a NA in a neighborhood where there wasn't a formal legally created one previously, I thought it made sense and so did all the community leaders at the meeting who voted in agreement. Can you come up with an imaginary reason why the other NA chose the name "HOPE"? I can't wait to read that one. I hate to disappoint you Lyn but no there is no war beginning just a large group of people in a neighborhood taking action to make it better. Plain and Simple with no subversive motives.

Sincerely,
Mark A. Parrilla
