South Florida Fair 2010

Blame it on the economy, but the South Florida Fair lacked excitement this year. In the past several years, they have eliminated having a really top signature event like the ice show. Dennis Lee did not appear on the days we went and the main attraction, America's National Parks Expo, left a lot to be desired. The arts and crafts booths usually in the main building as you enter were not there this year but inside was some great art. Photography by Clyde Butcher was worth the admission price. Opening day handicapped parking cost $10. By the time we returned on a Saturday, it had doubled in price. Everything you bought started at $6 except for the ice tea at 75 cents. It is a time, however, to get a lot of exercise, people-watch and be a part of the ambiance.
