Omar Al-Barghouthi, a founder and key leader of the Boycotts, Divestments, and Sanctions against Israel, has declared his alliance with the Black Lives Matter Movement. He says, “Freedom for Palestine means freedom for blacks in the US. Justice for Palestine means justice for blacks.”
The Black Lives Matter Campaign states directly in its platform that it “supports actions of nonviolent resistance to the policies of the occupation and of the Israeli apartheid regime, including those of the global boycott, divestment, and sanctions (BDS) campaign.
