Message from Rick Scott

Over the next 5 months, you are going to see hundreds of ads, and hear a lot of opinions on who the next governor of Florida should be.

Ask yourself this: should the politicians in Tallahassee decide how to spend your money, or should you make that decision?

My administration has cut taxes 40 times in the last 4 years and in the most recent legislative session alone we were able to pass $500 million in tax cuts.

We cannot move Florida back to the days of record setting unemployment and high taxes. Let’s keep working to make Florida the best place in the world for businesses and families.

Over the next few months, you will be periodically hearing from me and members of my team on my vision for the future of Florida. For now, you can learn more about my campaign on my website, or join the conversation on my Facebook page.

Thank you for your time.

Adrian Wyllie (4 Fl Gov) says
"Gov. Scott’s Address Full
of Fluff and Fiction"

"Scott also proudly claimed to have cut the budget during his tenure. That is absolutely false."

"Scott has increased the state budget by over $8-billion during his term. In 2011, Florida spent a total of $65.5 billion. Under Rick Scott, the state budget has ballooned to $74.2 billion. That’s more than the entire defense budgets of Canada, Australia, and Israel…combined.

Any “cuts” that Scott refers to are simply minor reductions to the massive spending increases that he has proposed and signed. Gov. Scott has apparently taken a page from the Obama playbook, by spinning a decrease to the increase as a “cut.”

Rick Scott signed House Bill 5601 that cuts more than $121 million in taxes. The signing of this legislation also brings the total tax and fees savings for Floridians to more than $500 million.
