Honestly I have no sympathy for the "John". He was looking for illegal activity and he fell victim to a crime. Well I call that "poetic justice. He should not have been looking for a prostitute in a city where that is illegal. If the prostitutes that plague our city didn't have customers they would go somewhere else, plain and simple! I am glad he was not hurt but he should consider that $2,000.00 loss as the fee for the lesson that he hopefully learned. I think a few more incidents like this with plenty of press coverage and our hooker problem on Federal and Dixie just may be eliminated! John's are the biggest part of the problem, they are the ones paying these scary looking women for sex. They create demand, the hookers supply!
22 arrests. Both my husband and I recognized this woman as one of the regulars we see out on our streets. Both of us thought that was a very sad reflection on our City, that we recognize the criminals. I assume she will be back out within days.
@Mark..FYI..Prostitution is illegal in every city in Florida. Ask yourself this question....why didnt the John go to Boca and drive the streets there to look for a hooker? IMHO.. LW is a depressed city and it draws its share of low lifes who bring all sorts of crime that other cities wouldnt stand for. Are there prostitutes in Boca...I would think so...but its behind closed doors, not prowling the streets at 2 in the morning. Is prostitution a priority for the PBSO ??? I wonder what IS the top priority for them. To Protect and Serve...?? How do you do that without rounding up the street walkers and driving them out of town...They must be persistent and consistent. This city provides a safe haven for Bad Guys...Somebody has to step up and get control before it gets out of hand.....
