WHO: The City of Lake Worth’s Ocean Rescue invites everyone to come out and see your lifeguards in action. Chief Timothy Ehmke will be conducting a mock ocean rescue highlighting some of the lifeguard’s abilities to recognize and rescue a person out of the ocean. We will be handing out flyers that include many safety topics related specifically to south Florida beaches. We will be starting the demonstration at 9:30 a.m. at the “Middle Tower” located on the north side of the Lake Worth Pier. There will be a safety briefing given after the rescue that will include topic like dangerous marine life, lightning Danger From Above, Rip Current awareness, surviving the heat at the beach, and a talk about beach warning flags.
THE PARKING METERS WILL BE ENFORCED AT ALL TIMES--
