Agree or disagree with the law, his reason is pretty lame! Liberty is not safe. Never was and never will be! The elected sheriff is NOT the House or Senate VOTE (decider) of by and for the people. Seems like ANYONE but US has a voice and a choice and we are just suppose to sit back and take it! Really! What do we pay these people for?
It was a 58/56 vote in the House. Rick Scott is making the right decision. No one needs to drive 5pmh faster--NO ONE! It's a stupid bill promoted by Clemens.
Having driven in Finland and Germany w/friends (the autobahn - No Speed Limit) I think it has more to do w/the training than the actual speed.
In Finland at over 80 mph my friend flashed his lights, the car in front moved over and so did the oncoming vehicle. We slipped right thru! In Helsinki he was an expert in the traffic! They also paid nearly 2K US$ for their license (training)! In Germany I was afraid when they said we were going to on the autobahn till I saw the other drivers. Slow drivers had enough common sense to stay right and the faster drivers stayed left! I think a worse danger then speed it an idiot doing 50 in the fast lane! Just my opinion. I still think Scott's comment about the Sheriff is mission creepy!
Glad the gov. vetoed this stupid bill, it was stupid and selfish of clemens, he only cares about his own speeding and all his groupies who want to speed and use drugs.
With gas prices so high, they should only allow 55mph, you get better mileage anyway when you drive between 50-60, you don't at all at 75. We have a real dunce representing the common folks in our area. We need to vote this idiotic bum out of office ASAP!
