The R word for "Retha"

When Retha Lowe ran the last time, we campaigned with Lowe Must Go signs. Retha called us “racist.” She did not like the signs. The word “racist” is thrown around like government subsidies or Lake Worth giving away public buildings for $1 a year. We noticed that Retha again used the R word during this past election saying that Commissioner District 4 used it during her campaign against her opponent.

The message, Lowe Must Go, is even more compelling today in light of the recent Florida Elections Commission report that confirmed she violated election laws and covered up the truth. Not only did she do it once, but multiple times. Then she voted on contracts for Sun Recycling who has an exclusive contract with the City of Lake Worth to this day.

Retha Lowe used to be the most powerful person on the commission. Now none of us have to worry about her swing vote or her constant state of confusion. She knew what she was doing with her campaign contributions though. No confusion there.

Deceiving the public is serious but we know that Retha Lowe will not step down, which would be the right thing to do. She will continue to cause havoc on the dais as she did the other night to terminate the Greater Bay Contract when she was the sole dissenting vote. She will continue to be defiant. She will continue to use an excuse for all her problems...probably the R word for “racist” rather than the R word for “Retha.”
