Marco's the Man

According to research and analyzation from Potomac Research Group, Marco Rubio is in the number one spot to be the nominee of the Republican Party for 2016.

1.  Marco Rubio, son of Cuban immigrants and born in Miami and raised in the public school system,  got his BA in 1993 from the university of Florida and his JD at the University of Miami in 1996. His political career began in 1998 on the local level when he was elected to the West Miami City commission. Later, he ran for state representative and won becoming majority leader in Tallahassee.  In 2009 he took on Charlie Crist for U.S. Senator and won. Rubio has become a member of several legislative committees, including the Senate Committee on Commerce, Science and Transportation; and the Committee on Foreign Relations. He is a member of the Gang of Eight which is a term used for eight of the most influential Senators on immigration reform and includes four Democratic senators and four Republicans.

His biggest criticism is the false perception that he favors amnesty for illegals.  So, what does Marco Rubio say on amnesty:
How many people get amnesty?

Zero.  No one gets amnesty.  Unless we continue to do nothing, this bill will eliminate today’s status quo de facto amnesty in which we have 11 million undocumented immigrants here and don’t know who they are, what activities they’re engaged in or anything else about them. On day one, no undocumented immigrant is rewarded with anything.  What happens on day one is the clock starts running on meeting the mandatory security triggers – implementing an effective border security plan, mandatory employment verification for all businesses, and full implementation of an exit system.  Once the border security plan is in place, undocumented immigrants will be able to come forward, must submit to and pass background checks, be fingerprinted, pay fines, pay taxes, prove gainful employment, go to the back of the line, and prove they’ve had a physical presence in the U.S. since before 2012, among other measures. They won’t get any federal benefits.  And if they meet all these requirements, they will earn a temporary status that allows them to work. If they don’t they will be deported.

"No one" gets a free pass except, of course, Cuban illegals landing on U.S. soil.

But they're dependable Republican votes so Marco, Republicans, Fox News and the right wing echo machine tend to overlook them when they declare "Zero!"

Cuban Americans tend to be more Republican than Democrats. They have a bad taste in their mouths ever since JFK left them high and dry on the Bay of Pigs. Younger ones are voting Democrat. In 2012, Cuban Americans overall voted with Obama giving him 49% of their vote with Mitt Romney getting 47%. More and more are looking for those government hand-outs too.
Cubans landing on our soil are not ILLEGAL according to our laws if one foot touches our soil. But now the government needs to end that law. It's ridiculous.
