The section also prosecuted former Democratic vice presidential nominee John Edwards, but a jury acquitted him on one count and deadlocked on others and the Justice Department declined to try him again.

As Breitbart News reported, Smith’s wife, Katy Chevigny, contributed to President Joe Biden and to far-left, antisemitic Rep. Rashia Tlaib (D-MI). She also produced a documentary about former First Lady Michelle Obama.

Seven female students at the University of Wyoming filed a lawsuit against their sorority, Kappa Kappa Gamma, after a man was allowed to join the all-female group and even lived in the sorority house.

U.S. District Court Judge Alan B. Johnson threw out the lawsuit on the shocking grounds that the sorority's bylaws do not define what a “woman” is and refused to move forward with his own definition." Well, if our latest supreme court justice can't define what a woman is, who would expect a mere judge to do so?

According to a recent letter from the National Archives and Records Administration, it appears that during his time as vice president, President Joe Biden may have utilized pseudonyms in almost 5,400 emails, electronic records, and documents.

The letter was a response to a lawsuit filed by the Southeastern Legal Foundation that sought all emails from when then-Vice President Joe Biden used three personal pseudonym email accounts to forward government information and discuss government business with his son, Hunter Biden, and others.

And to be precise as to the NARA's response-- “We have performed a search of our collection for Vice Presidential records related to your [June 9, 2022] request and have identified approximately 5,138 email messages, 25 electronic files and 200 pages of potentially responsive records that must be processed in order to respond to your request,” Stephannie Oriabure, the director of NARA’s archival operations division, wrote to the Southeastern Legal Foundation on June 24, 2022, Monday’s lawsuit revealed.

Report: Emails Show Weiss, DOJ Coordinated to Mislead Congress

Emails have surfaced that challenge the assertion that David Weiss, the U.S. attorney for Delaware, had "ultimate authority" over charging decisions in the Hunter Biden investigation, The Federalist reported Monday.

The emails, obtained by the Heritage Foundation following a Freedom of Information Act lawsuit and shared with The Federalist, show that Weiss, who is now special counsel in charge of the investigation into Biden, coordinated with the Department of Justice on multiple occasions in response to GOP lawmakers over their inquiries in the case.

The emails contradict Weiss' June 7 letter to House Judiciary Chair Jim Jordan, R-Ohio, that he had "ultimate authority." While Garland was asserting Weiss' independence to lawmakers, he was also "simultaneously running communications from Weiss to Grassley through the political controls of Main Justice," Heritage Foundation director Mike Howell told The Federalist.

Every year, when formulating my budget for the next year, property insurance is my biggest worry and guess. Our budget is done in October for the next year but we don't know what our premiums will be until four months later. It is a guessing game and stressful. I say stressful...you have to work for a Condominium Association to understand what I mean. Owners don't want to pay any assessment much less exorbitant insurance premiums and who can blame them?

For the next 90 days or so, Florida property owners are little more than sitting ducks, helpless to the whims of a merciless Mother Nature and the storms she’s capable of spooling up. And there’s nothing Governor Ron DeSantis or anyone else can do to fix the state’s property insurance crisis in time to make a difference.

At this point, the ultimate factor that could bring property insurance relief to Florida is completely out of human hands. A major storm—or worse, multiple storms—hitting Florida in 2023 would not only cause untold property damage but could also trigger a cascading series of financial consequences with the potential to thrash Florida’s otherwise healthy economy.

On the flip side, if the state dodges the proverbial bullet this year, (and it looks like now that we won't with Idalia) experts say it will provide much-needed breathing room for everyone, and provide another shot at even more comprehensive reforms next year, particularly in the reinsurance market, which could stabilize premiums and even entice more insurance carriers to enter (or re-enter) the Florida market.

But don’t hold your breath. Florida residents – elected officials included – are now in a game of chance governed by atmospheric pressure and ocean temperatures – and the dice are loaded in favor of Mother Nature. What she decides to do in the coming months will set the course for Florida’s future – for better or worse – for years to come.

Florida’s total real estate value is now estimated at $3.62 trillion, with a “T,” enough to rank second in the nation, ahead of both New York and Texas.

Former Black Voices For Trump Director Still In Jail As Co-Defendants Post Bond

Harrison Floyd, the lone co-defendant in former President Donald Trump’s election interference case in Georgia who is still in custody, was denied bond by a Ga. state judge on Friday, keeping the Black Voices for Trump leader at the Fulton County Jail despite his pleas for release.

He has no money for this crap or even money to hire a lawyer. And these Democrat prosecutors rely on that to turn these defendants against Trump.

Floyd, a former Trump campaign employee during his 2020 campaign, had previously been charged in May with assault for attacking an FBI agent who served him a subpoena in the Department of Justice’s investigation into efforts to overturn Trump’s loss in the 2020 election. He wanted them to identify themselves which they did not other than one opening his jacket to show his gun.

Harrison William Prescott Floyd surrendered to authorities at the Atlanta detention center Thursday. Floyd was previously charged with assaulting federal agents and was the only defendant who didn't negotiate his bail before turning himself into the Fulton County Sheriff's Office.

Fulton County Superior Court Judge Emily Richardson deemed Floyd a flight risk and more likely to commit additional felonies if released on bail. She noted that his bond would be addressed by Judge Scott McAfee, whom Floyd had been previously assigned to.

There’s simply no rational or legal explanation for Attorney General Merrick Garland naming David Weiss a special counsel in the Hunter Biden investigation. Other than the most obvious one, of course.

Garland contends that he’s “confident” the Delaware federal prosecutor “will carry out his responsibility in an evenhanded and urgent manner and in accordance with the highest traditions of this department,” evidence strongly suggests something corrupt.

But would anyone genuinely seeking an “evenhanded” inquiry hand the job to a prosecutor who’s already attempted to shower the target of the investigation with an extraordinarily favorable immunity deal? It defies credulity.

Then again, what kind of “evenhanded” investigation is led by a prosecutor who’s been credibly accused of dragging his feet on a case and then lying to Congress? Is there no one else in the entire United States better positioned to investigate Hunter Biden?

The first Republican debate of the 2024 presidential election produced strong winners and a few candidates who should go back to their day jobs. Republican hopefuls didn’t disappoint as they delivered their platform bullet points and fired off barbs against one another.

Fox News’ first Republican primary debate got a terrible response from American television viewers, with the broadcast losing about half the audience Fox’s kickoff debate had during the 2016 election.

The chairman of Fox, billionaire Rupert Murdoch, claimed in a 2021 email he was seeking to make Trump a "non-person." The reverse has happened since that decision as well as their decision to fire Tucker Carlson.

According to Nielsen, an estimated 12.8 million people watched Wednesday’s Republican debate.

But that’s a decline of almost 50% from the more than 24 million people who tuned in when Donald Trump appeared in his first presidential debate in August 2015, Nielsen reported.

The "Trump effect" was again witnessed in a January 2016 Republican primary debate hosted by Fox News that Trump also skipped — that debate also drew about 12.5 million people.

Trump said he boycotted the Republican debate this week for a number of reasons, including his large lead over other GOP rivals in the polls.

Social media platform X, formerly Twitter, reported that Tucker Carlson's interview with Trump had 236.7 million views — a count of how many times someone scrolled by Carlson's interview with Trump in their feeds.

The challenge was filed in federal court in the Southern District of Florida citing the 14th Amendment's "disqualification clause."

"A lawyer from Palm Beach County has filed one of the first legal challenges to disqualify Donald Trump from the 2024 presidential race under a clause in the U.S. Constitution's 14th Amendment.

Boynton Beach tax attorney Lawrence Caplan filed the challenge in federal court in the Southern District of Florida citing the amendment's "disqualification clause" for those who engage in insurrections and rebellion against the United States. The amendment was ratified in 1868 after the Civil War, during Reconstruction, and also addressed the citizenship status of freed slaves and the re-integration of the defeated Confederate states back into the Union."

Mr. Caplan is declaring Donald Trump guilty of an insurrection on January 6. And to boot, quotes the Amendment. In this country, Mr. Caplan, you are innocent until proven guilty and even Jack Smith did not go this far.

“I think this is the single most dangerous constitutional theory I have seen pop up in decades,” said Jonathan Turley," Constitutional scholar and a professor at George Washington University Law School, who has testified in United States Congressional proceedings about constitutional and statutory issues.

“Now, of course, that brings you to the original question. What was January 6th? In the view of many citizens, including myself, it was a protest that became a riot. It was not a rebellion or insurrection. But that’s a matter of disagreement between citizens, said Turley.

He was stating this mildly. It's a disagreement between Democrats and Republicans. Democrats will do anything possible to keep Trump off the ballot.

Turley further said, "But Donald Trump hasn’t been charged with insurrection, not even incitement. Special Counsel Jack Smith charged him with a variety of crimes like fraud. He notably did not charge him with even incitement.”

Jury awards former Lake Worth police officer $7.1 million in breach of contract case

'Having to fight your employer for your rights, I never felt like I retired,' Joseph Viera, who served with Lake Worth police, told WPBF 25 News.

Viera was responding to an emergency call back in 2001 when his life turned upside down.

"There was ... a woman that was in distress. She was being attacked by two men wielding a knife. And on his way to the call, he got T-boned by a car, which resulted in career-ending injuries," said Daniel Lustig, an attorney at Pike & Lustig.

"Most of my spine has been fused. I’ve got severe nerve damage. My spinal cord was damaged, my neck was fractured, both hips, both knees, my shoulder. I’ve got paralysis in areas of my body," Viera said.

The city of Lake Worth declared him catastrophically injured in 2001 but they didn't want to pay him all his benefits that were owed to him.

But guess what??!! WPBF 25 News reached out to the city of Lake Worth Beach for a comment in response to the $7.1 million verdict, and the city manager sent this statement below.

"The City of Lake Worth Beach respects the Jury's decision in the case with Joseph Viera. At this time, the City plans to appeal the decision and as such will be offering no further comment on this matter."

The state exhibits very broad revenue-raising authority despite a constitutional restriction on the levy of a personal income tax.”
