Supreme Court Hands Down Major Decision For Florida

The U.S. Supreme Court recently weighed in on a contentious issue involving voting districts in the City of Miami, with implications for the upcoming November elections.

The Court rejected an application from the communist organization, the American Civil Liberties Union, making it official that maps approved by city commissioners will be used in these elections.

This decision was hailed as a victory by Commissioner Alex Diaz de la Portilla who stated that “political shenanigans by special interest groups will not be tolerated” and that “Our City Commission-approved maps meet constitutional standards and protect our City of Miami neighborhoods.”
