It would be nice to see them get this up and running and functional again operating in the city maybe could improve the area and attract a better clientele of citizens, The city really deserves better it's just become so crime infested and blighted over the years and the CRA just doesn't end up really helping the situation at all!
too many people involved in tell these people what they can and cant do.
Lois Frankel just approved more low income type of housing grants for Lake Worth.
I guess poor people deserve to live in Lake Worth, and the more affluent ones will be in West Palm or Boynton. Why didnt she approve the money for West Palm Beach affordable housing?
There are plenty of poor people in WPB, and points north, e.g., 45 Street, Mangonia Park, etc. It doesn't take much to be poor today, especially when you look at the price for rental units.
Think of the people working in all of the fast-food places and little stores and coffee shops that you frequent. Time was, when these jobs were known as starter jobs. Unfortunately, without an education, you will always be in a starter job.
Education alone, won't do it. You have to be in a specific field. And then, you could have a student loan of $150K.
I don't know who or what is to blame for all of this, but there is definitely a problem, and it is largely ignored. Americans today, live in circumstances not unlike the immigrants they are competing with for jobs. It's unrealistic to imagine that everyone is going to rush off to PBSC and get a degree in some useless subject.
Not all of the subjects are useless of course, and a Certificate in a certain field, is as valuable as a degree, in many cases.
You can lead a horse to water, but you can't make him drink.
No the CRA looks out for their friends the relatives how about the artist loss how did they go so quick people applied for that stuff that were actually artists and they didn't get it but the friends of the CRA did I'm so sick and tired about the CRA to the CRA that you know they used to write grants and help the city out now they just look out for themselves what can we get I bet you they I wonder how many people are on the CRA actual payroll don't get me wrong I think the CRA is looking out for themselves and how they can make more hourly salary every time the CRA gets a building to see the city gives the CRA building they turn around and sell it for a huge profit so I can't understand that just like to shuffleboard courts just like the apartment housing just like couple other buildings at the city owned they give it to the CIA c r a intern sells it or knocks it down and build something and developer comes in and build something and profit profit profit for everybody but the city
