Biden Cowers, Media Ignores After China Throws Down Another Gauntlet Over Taiwan
There have been rumors circulating that China is preparing to take Taiwan since the spring.
House Speaker Nancy Pelosi drew the ire of China when she became the
first US speaker to visit in 25 years at a time when Washington-Beijing
relations have been especially tense. Shortly after House Speaker Nancy Pelosi provoked China with her visit, they surrounded the island and began military exercises.
A US congressional delegation of five Democrats led by Massachusetts Democratic Sen. Ed Markey arrived in Taipei on an unannounced two-day visit, the second US congressional delegation to Taiwan this month. Now what the hell were they doing in Tawain for two days? Supposedly it was to "reaffirm the United States' support for Taiwan" and "encourage stability and peace across the Taiwan Strait and spending a lot of taxpayer money.
And now China’s ambassador to Washington, Qin Gang issued a warning to the United States after Democrat Senator Edward Markey completed his visit to Taipei. China hit back against the visit, saying it would take "resolute countermeasures" in response to the US's provocations.
