Other than the people who actually hate her, I think she is known and remembered for the work she did in West Palm Beach, particularly the downtown area. Whoever started it, or whoever finished it, she is credited with that achievement.
It wasn't an "achievement" per se. She went around the voters who voted it down on a referendum and built the $150 million City Center project anyway. While she was mayor, she spent $13,000 on a marble bathroom.
Be that as it may, if it weren't for City Place, Clematis, and what have you, there wouldn't be any reason to rebuild the hotel on Lake Ave. People love it over there. That is where you take your guests. It's not for me, but every time I am over in that direction, it's loaded with tourists.
The only thing I can say about the bathroom, is that marble stains, and I'd rather have ceramic tile.
I understand where you are coming from when you say that, but I moved here in 2004, when Clematis was a construction site.
Lois had been the Mayor since 2003. I didn't know Nancy, and like Kamala Harris would say: I didn't know George Washington either, so I can only talk about what I know.
Well, thank you for that information, but Nancy Graham is not running, and I am not going to vote for a fluke, just to satisfy an old grudge. There are people coming out of the woodwork now and running for offices just to satisfy the frustration and discontent of the voters. I disagree with Lois on many things, but I think she is competent, and hard-working; therefore, I intend to vote for her.
Also, in the mood I am in right now, I am happy they are going to build housing for low-income people. It strikes me as a much better use of the money than giving me an allowance for solar panels and lowering the cost of diabetes drugs.
Also, making big holes in the earth to mine rare minerals, to run batteries for a car I don't want, and can't afford, strikes me as a fait-accompli, and does nothing to save the earth, which, as I see it, may already have been here too long.
It would be a mistake to take that for granted. I just saw two Demings signs on lawns, I didn't see any Marco signs. The polls were dead even when I heard them earlier.

At this point in time, I would say that Lois Frankel is unbeatable.
In this highly Democrat socialist county, the money would be on Frankel.

Nancy Graham revitalized WPB, including City Place and Clematis. Incredibly insulting to say Frankel had much to do with putting WPB on the map!

There is a history with Lois Frankel and WPB. It's on the internet

Right now, I'm a lot more worried about Marco than I am about Lois.
Marco will win! Not the least bit worried about him. Lois also will win.
