The EXACT analogy is.....The US is a large boat with a huge gaping hole in the hull, and water has been pouring in..Hundreds of democrats and republicans huddle inside the bog boat, but the republicans have been saying that the boat is sinking, since there is no functioning bulge pump, and no action being taken by democrats in charge of the boat, other than them saying" the hole might plug itself up---trust us, we know what we are doing"... And then when the boat begins sinking below the surface, the democrats say----" YOU SHOULD BE HAPPY NOW..THIS IS WHAT YOU'VE BEEN ROOTING FOR"!
That's not the exact analogy Dan. The exact analogy is that there are hawks on both sides of the aisle. Not to mention the armchair generals, who now occupy a good amount of time on TV and radio.
If you're wise, you will listen to the Pete Hegseth analogy, which is the closest to a coherent strategic analysis as you are going to get.
