There are never cops around when you need them it seems.
We, out here in the western community along Lake Osborne Drive, part of the most neglected district in Lake Worth, have been trying to get traffic calming for a very long time as the county road is dangerous to cross for wildlife and humans alike. Senior citizens live along a long strip of road. I forward photos of destruction and dead wildlife to no avail. We are ignored and silence is the mantra.
The commission, however, is all involved now with roundabouts on Federal Highway to slow down the traffic there. FDOT would have to approve of the project and FDOT would pay for it.

People are always demonstrating about something these days.
Is anyone happy?A small group of five people, three adults along with two children dressed in “Young Pioneer” school uniforms joined the rest of the larger group of protesters on Pennsylvania Avenue, laying out on the sidewalk around the front of the White House.
Other groups of protesters began chanting “Freedom for Cuba” while carrying signs, such as one that stated “You’re sitting by while we die,” and another one that stated, “Cuba’s blood is on your hands.” Yet another one stated, “Biden, history will remember how you turn your back to Cuba & all the Cubans who voted for you.”

Integrity of High-Rise buildings in Palm Beach County to be analyzed
Palm Beach County Commissioners discussed Inspections of High Rises
I watched the Commission Meeting and was impressed with the thoughtful approach all took to develop rules regarding inspections of our older and higher buildings in Palm Beach County with half of them built before 1980.No one really knows what happened to the 12 story building in Surfside; it is all speculation at this point. Consequently, the Palm Beach County Commission will continue to analyze the state of the high-rises here and send a letter to owners to inspect their buildings
County commissioners said they want to follow Miami-Dade and Broward counties’ footsteps to require regular inspections of high-rise buildings, likely more often than 40 years. But they will let a working group — made up of the League of Cities, municipal building officials, fire marshals and engineers — hash out details and options such as which buildings should be regularly inspected and how often.
