Who were the people? Were they illegals? Were they selling the berries? Tourists are destroying natural areas and ancient artifacts.

We don't know enough about the situation to make an informed decision.

@9:32...does it really matter whether they were illegals or who they were? The Commission says that they were illegally harvesting berries on public land without a permit. So, you are either operating within the law or you're not.

never heard of this law.is it illegal to pick coconuts too

If you go onto someone's private property to pick coconuts, you have to have their permission. So, yes, it is against the law. It would be considered "stealing" otherwise.

Arresting people involved in criminal actions. What an excellent and APPROPRIATE use of my tax dollars!!! Does Bekah cry for the bears and other wild life shot because they can't find their normal food sources and become "pests" looking for food in populated areas?

I'm in complete agreement with you Lynn.

Back in the day, we used to pick berries in Philadelphia, of all places. Was that legal? I don't know.

There are probably many laws we've never heard of, but as the saying goes: "Ignorance of the Law is no Excuse".

There is probably a sign somewhere in the area that identifies the land in some way. The sad thing is, that at some point, the powers that be will sell off parcels for ugly houses.
