Quote of the Day - Rush Limbaugh - Corruption

Comment Up
“The Republican establishment sought victory via Democrat voters in the runoff, and they got them. Without the African-American vote from Democrat-leaning counties, Thad Cochrane would have lost by eight or nine percent last night.”

~ Rush Limbaugh

Referring to the vote in Mississippi between Thad Cochran and Chris McDaniel with Cochran operatives securing a vote of black Democrats in a Republican primary by playing the race card. They sent out a flyer saying that the Tea Party wanted to prevent blacks from voting.  This is outrageous; everyone should condemn this dirty political trick/action/lie. I agree with Rush.

It's almost as outrageous as saying Black Panthers were stationed outside polling places to intimidate white voters.

Look, it's an amazing thing we see here. Republicans are attempting to "outreach" to minority voters while vilifying illegal immigrant children and criticizing their own candidates for securing the votes of African-American voters.

As far as these "outrageous" dirty tricks go, they happen every election and, yes, they are "outrageous," but it would be nice to see "outrage" instead of just when they're directed against Tea Party candidates.

You leave me speechless, really.
"Republicans were NOT "attempting to reach out to minority voters" for any viable ideology. What the Republican Cochran campaign did was play the race card and reached out to DEMOCRATS to win over an ultra conservative Republican opponent. It's that simple.

And NO ONE in the Republican Party is vilifying illegal children who have crossed our border ILLEGALLY. What they want is to STOP ILLEGAL immigration. It's against the law and bringing down America.

Johnny Appleseed said...

Well, in fact, the GOP have been making an extra effort to appeal to African-American voters and Hispanics. Perhaps you don't see it in the Tea Party and perhaps that explains Mississippi. The Tea Party is finding out that bigotry only sells to a certain number of people in America today.

No one is vilifying illegal immigrant children? Does the term "anchor babies" sound familiar? Does portraying some of these kids as potential MS13 gang members ring any bells?

Sorry, Lynn, if the Tea Party insists on stereotyping large swaths of the American population, they're going to suffer the consequences at election time. It's that simple.

Let's qualify it--"large swaths of ILLEGALS."

There is something a bit unusual about a Republican primary that is decided by liberal Democrats.

The fire storm of the press to get out the vote for Cochran who won because of racist bigotry by blacks, should show people that our two party system is nothing but a fraud perpetrated by the national media and manipulation of minorities.

Thad "Cockroach" will lose big time in the main election! The Republocrat leadership just shot themselves in the foot !!

That's highly doubtable, anony at 12:30.

It's bigoted for blacks to cast their votes against a man representing a movement that is almost entirely white and has regularly used characterizations of the current President using monkeys, African witch doctors, and told him to go back to Kenya?

I wouldn't call that "bigoted." I would call that "payback."

WHATEVER.

In primaries only the people in that party are supposed to vote. Crossing over is tantamount to fraud. Everyone should be outraged. It's of course extremely dishonest for anyone to suggest that recruiting black Dems to vote in the GOP primary is something on the order of "outreach to blacks." It's not. It's fraud, and encouraging fraud. The Republicans in Mississippi wanted to throw Thad Cochran out of office. He should have been thrown out of office. Dirty tricks kept him in the game. Dirty liars are covering up the truth. Dirty rotten Johnny Appleseed is now posting on your blog here, Lynn. God, are there no more honest people anywhere?? Oh, wait...yes. Thanks, Lynn, for everything you do!

Thad Cockroach won the primary because of DEMOCRATS. (black, white ,blue with a cherry on top ,who cares )Democrats decided which Republican they would be running against. In the REAL election , Thad"s lying little goose is going to be COOKED. The Democrats that pushed him over the edge are going to desert him in favor of the Democrat. The conservatives that wanted him out , the ones that just got crapped on by Thad and the GOP leadership, are going to be so mad that they will NOT vote for this guy. The conservatives would rather lose a seat than reward disgusting behavior like this.Thad and the GOP forgot that not every one is as power hungry as they are.

Thad was not cool, no doubt about it. Too bad it didn't backfire on him. I think he will win the general election and it will backfire on the racist Democrats. But in the mean time, NO ONE LIKES DIRTY TRICKS. Thad, you made about the worst executive decision of your life...you lost oodles of respect. We know politics is dirty but you take the cake. His district needs to change its policy and disallow cross-over voting in primaries.

Johnny Appleseed said...

Of course then there's the ultimate hypocrisy that Rush Limbaugh, the same guy as you quoted in this post as being outraged by cross-over voting, urged Republicans in OH and TX to vote for Hillary back in 2008. Of course, that involved white people voting for white people so that was way different.

Continue the outrage, folks. In ALL CAPS, of course.

Lynn Anderson said...

He urged them to skip their party's primary.

Do you EVER GET TIRED?

Lynn Anderson said...

Appleseed-No, I didn't post your last 2 comments. You liberals always go into some sort of righteous mode and attack conservatives.
You provided your name. I don't know you. What's more, you have an opinion against mine which is okay but read my policy. You are not allowed to attack me personally, only debate the topic. Can you get that? I am not going to post your comments in the future when you name call, etc. Go to a liberal blog for that. Thanks very much. In fact, it is really a waste of both our times to continue on with this dialogue. Self-righteous, holier-than-thou, moralizing, preachy, smug, superior, priggish, hypocritical, insincere commentary is a bore.

Johnny Appleseed said...

Oh, c'mon now, Lynn. You know as well as I that there was no insult in the comment that provided the Fox News link that illustrates how you were wrong on Limbaugh telling his listeners to vote for Clinton. Please don't hide behind your comment policy in order to avoid someone politely correcting you on a post.

Liberals attacking conservatives? Look at your blog and explain to me how that isn't the kettle calling the pot black.

The truth is that you live in a conservative media bubble that creates its own facts. When a dose of reality is introduced into that bubble, it's summarily discounted or purged instead of being considered for what it is.

As far as my name goes, you demanded it to somehow legitimize my comments and I complied. After you got that information, you still couldn't live up to your end of the bargain and discuss ideas but resorted to deleting comments that offered contradictory information.

That isn't criticism. That isn't being argumentative. Those are the facts.

You were wrong on Limbaugh, Lynn. Pure and simple. And his attack on cross over voting is one of the most hypocritical he's done in years. For a guy like him, that's saying a lot.

There are no personal attacks in this comment. No name calling. No insults.

Just saying.

How about your living in a left-wing liberal bubble? Ever consider that?

This is a total waste of time here. You know it. I know it.
