What a Storm in Lake Worth

Comment Up
The weather prediction was winds of around 5 to 10 miles per hour. Don't know what they were but the wind gusts seemed to be upwards to 40mph. It was awesome! Thunder so loud and lightning bolts that lit up the sky...Lake Worth power flickered and went off for 1/2 a second.
Could not see out the window.
One of our last big trees went down
Haven't seen this since Wilma of 2005.
Road basically blocked across from where I live
 on Lake Osborne Drive
County arrived around 3:15 with chain saw
Sheriff vehicles are blocking both directions on road

The County didn't learn its lesson--it didn't thin out these trees and it's hurricane season!

The county is still out there working. by tomorrow, there will be little evidence that a tree ever grew there for over 50 years.

The county, like Lake Worth, doesn't do half of the stuff it should be doing for the taxes they demand from us !

Those trees don't look like native trees. Before they're replaced or re-planted there should be a study conducted to see what type of salt tolerant tree should be used because to the dreaded and feared sea level rising in the next 100 years!
