Point of View: John Prince Park stadium too disruptive for area
The
mayors of Lake Worth, Palm Springs and Greenacres all think it’s just
great. Of course they do. Other than Lake Worth, they are far enough
away to avoid the noise level. And the only potential Lake Worth-area
residences are those to the north of the site — mainly moderate- to
low-income, lots of Latinos. But hey, they all love baseball right? So
no problem. And to the east, Lake Osborne residents, maybe they will
build you one of those high, noise-abatement walls. That way not only
will you avoid the noise, but you can lose your great views and access
to the lake and sunsets.
