Water Safety & Drowning Prevention Expo to be held at the Lake Worth Pool LAKE WORTH, FL (October 6, 2013) – On October 12th, 2013 from 9:30 AM to 12 PM, the Friends of the Lake Worth Pool in partnership with the City of Lake Worth will be sponsoring a Water Safety & Drowning Prevention Expo. The event will be held at the Lake Worth Municipal pool located at the recently renovated Lake Worth Casino and Beach Complex. Palm Beach County Fire Rescue, Drowning Prevention Coalition of Palm Beach County, Share the Stoke, PBSO, Kiwanis and other organizations will be on hand to inform the public about water safety programs available in our community.

The expo will also feature a variety of water safety programs targeted to educate parents, kids, and caregivers including demonstrations of basic water safety procedures both on the deck and in the water. This event also marks the launch of the RedTrunks swim program and the official announcement of its inaugural class. Community organizations such as For The Children will also be in attendance, and the South Palm Park Neighborhood Associ will hold an exciting neighborhood relay challenge.

Admission is free, and boardwalk favorite “Mama Mia on The Beach” will be offering a $4 kids pizza and beverage special for all attendees.

This event marks an important opportunity to showcase the wide variety of water safety and drowning prevention programs available in our community, and we hope to see many families in attendance.
