You've got to be kidding me! My Mother was more aggressive when I was a kid. The officer didn't hit him or anything. It appears what he did got the kid's attention as he didn't mouth off after being stood back up.
If he had had discipline when he was younger, or maybe a Father in the picture, there's a better chance he would not have even been in a "boot camp" setting in the first place.
