Thanks Lynn for pointing out what a great job the PBSO is doing. The old days of mass murders are over in Lake Worth. Can you imagine how bad the stats would be if we had our own police department. God Bless PBSO and our great city!

These are the same guys and gals in a different uniform! These aren't Superman capes.Management does matter.
Perhaps last night is just the start of something again, things seemed to have calmed down, but last night there were a lot of drunks out walking all over the western part of downtown, drunks galore. Too Dixie sure has its share of street walkers or prostitutes still. While it might be getting better, it hasn't gotten perfect, I still see a lot of the immigrants working, making money, and then spending it getting really plastered on the weekends, being rowdy and a little out of control, will the police be able to address this and calm it, or do we have to accept it as part of their culture to work hard all week to get drunk on the weekends? I am still concerned about the public drunkenness, it is still a huge problem here.
I was awakened at 6:05am by the sound of an automatic weapon blasting in two intervals...called the Sheriff. As she was taking the report, others called in. I believe it came from the trailer park on 6th Avenue South--probably gang or drug related. They had deputies on their way.
