As previously reported, four out of five commissioners are in Nashville having a good time at the League of Cities convention. The only one not attending is Ryan Maier.
The city manager is out there with them. I'm sure it is all up and up and they're not talking about any city business. Now do you think that they will learn how to screw their citizens even more by attending this "party" time that they feel is well deserved on the taxpayer dime?
Michael Bornstein's Expense Sheet for "training" and travel comes to $2,643. Perhaps the majority of them signed up for an Ethics Seminar with Dolly Parton.

Love your ethics training crack. They believe that we don't know what they're doing.
It's a shame so few people have been afforded the privilege of being exposed to how industry or in this case a city shares common issues with their peers from around the country. This is how we shorten the learning curve and allow intellectual and professional growth for our city commissioners and yes, especially staff.
Wonder why Comm Maier chose to to attend as he is a neophyte on the commission and the least knowledgeable of them all.
Heck I'm sure Dennis Dorsey attended many funeral business conventions on his company's dime and even too other staff members with his... That how he became successful - by developing his staff. Same deal here... And maybe they will
come home with more knowledge, connections and resources we can utilize to help Lake Worth. These events are not all just fun and games... And I'm sure Tuesdays Commisison Meeting we will hear their reports of what transpired.
You honestly do NOT know what you're talking about.
Mr. Dorsey, if he ever attended a convention, did so on his OWN MONEY.
And why do you sell Commissioner Maier short? He is extremely knowledgeable and smart.
Give me a break, anonymous at 10:26.
BS, BS, BS, BS, anony 10:26. Why can't you ever be truthful? No one trusts you.
Didn't we just pay a large sum for Mr. Bornstein to attend an international city conference of some sort? That we were told gave him many new and innovative tools to reach consensus at meetings?? Now that sure was a great return on our money: Scott had another rant and could not agree to any possibility where the beach did not have to be in the red. Eternally. And so consensus was reached with the gang of 3 and bowtie that the cure was obviously to fire the very well qualified and polite financial manager for speaking the truth. Can't have that with this bunch--another deal in the dark and he's out the door with a cockamamie "resignation." (complete with staff typos) Now are we supposed to suspend our disbelief in the gang of 3 and B that they will not be planning a next move behind the scenes?? Sure thing--yeah, right--this is all for the public good. How many of you VOTERS are feeling the love??
