Why did they change the date? Did somebody on the dais have a hot date with some green beer????

It had everything to do with a new commissioner who was coming on board who needs to be indoctrinated, etc. before he takes that seat to handle business before him on Tuesday.

Which indoctrination are you speaking of? The one from the cabal or the one the city gives him?

I'm sure you watched O'Reilly last night. Did you catch his talking points about how dangerous anarchists are and how they are subverting our culture, pitting groups against each other.

He inferred it was an anarchist that shot the cops there to keep the riots going. (I don't think he is correct)

It is not just "monkey wrenching" blacks against whites. It is any group against another group to launch protests. Poor against rich, employees against employers, Palestinians against Isreal, citizens against the police (sheriff).

But you still think they may not be anarchists here right? And they are harmless, right? That's why it is ok to allign yourself with them. The enemy of your enemy is your friend.

DROP DEAD
There are a few anarchists here.
There are tons of Seniors here.
There are some activists here.
There are some Gays here.
There are liberal Democrats here.
there are some Socialists here.
There are people who want to sell our city down the river to the first developer who offers some deal
There are some dead-beats here.
There are money-grabbers here.
There are people behind the scenes making proposals to get our beach
There are a lot of poor people here.
There is a lot of crime.
etc., etc, etc.
but most of all,
There are people who don't like the direction this commission is going--
not honoring the vote of the people and taxing poor folks and treating the resident like schmucks.
Those ARE the enemies.
Our country was founded by anarchists but it wasn't just a handful of people.

Normal practice is to swear in newly elected Commissioners at or around noon on Friday following the election.
The 3 who now control the City want to downplay Ryan's landslide victory by postponing it to the regular meeting a week after his glorious election.
In a year we will replace these despots.

There are several hundred people here on the east side that supported the current commission and mayor in the 2014 election, but voted for Ryan this time. Why? We simply did not agree with the Bond issue. We did not like the addition of the park of commerce or the $800,000 per commish funds or the grand expense of it all for 30 years without looking for grants first. Make no mistake in understanding it was NOT a vote for Ryan, but an anger vote against Szerdi.

In retrospect I think we may have all made a huge mistake. Let us hope for the best.

Lynn Anderson said...

No, you didn't make a mistake.
Next, there is still the majority that can cause a lot of damage: Maxwell, Triolo and Amororo.
So, you still have the vote for all the crap that this commission wants to do...and some of it is out of the sunshine too.
To me, it was not an "anger" vote against Szerdi but rather a NO CONFIDENCE vote for Szerdi. No trust for him or this commission,

Oh, you are the one who wrote the blog at Blackman's?

I have answered this so many times.
I am a registered Democrat but philosophically since 2008 I do not agree with them at all. Obama did it for me. Now they have Eliz Warren. Can't get much worse than that. The Democratic Party has changed from what it used to be during JFK. It is way too left believing in bigger government and more taxes, the free lunch, socialism, if you will. Something in the center suits me.
I am a conservative. I believe in free enterprise and not government paying for infrastructure to attract business, as an example.
I take total offense to your analogy that I align myself with anarchists, socialists and deadbeats. I would say, however, that many of them believe in PEOPLE, not POLITICS and Ryan Maier is not an anarchist or any of those even though that was his slogan...a great one, I might add. I believe he is a Dem. They are not doing underhanded things under the table. They are not ignoring our vote and wins at the polls. They believe in open government.
I believe that the deadbeats are those who suppress the voice of the people and use dictatorial tactics to get their way, or pull illegal stunts during an election like banners on the Gulfstream Hotel. There is no transparency with this administration...NONE.

As a for instance, they notified on the front door at city hall that there is no commission meeting on Tuesday but they did NOT notify on the front door that there is an Oath Ceremony on Monday. Why not?

One thing about Cara Jennings, she always voted the will of the people whether she agreed with it or not. I agreed with many of her votes but thought she should have displayed more dignity when it came to her public demonstrations such as Nature's Way or in Miami on stilts at the Israeli Embassy. I even spoke out against that at a city commission meeting. But those things were pale/mediocre compared to what this commission has done to the people they serve. And that's the problem...they don't know they serve us.

You have the mayor the afternoon before the election giving a political BS speech about our beach calling in some press but freezing out press that she did not favor. Paleeeeze. Everyone could see through that and she wasn't the least bit friendly while giving it.

So, it has nothing to do with grudges. It has everything to do with honesty and I have seen them all in action for way too long.

People count and everyone in our city counts. Those who cared enough, voted.

Today's Tribune says you, Dorsey, Katie and other conservatives aligned with the liberal progressives
( ie: anarchists, activists, socialists, dead beats) to get Ryan elected. So is the Tribune lying?

Lynn Anderson said...

I believe it said that we supported their candidates. A lot of people did, anonymous at 4:59. I think Ms. Menge used the term "progressives," not anarchists, etc.
Do you just want to keep t2wisting stuff? That's why you lost.

Szerdi's arrogance and pomposity along with his conniving with Hudson Holdings to support 40,000 sq ft of building at the beach caused his landslide loss to an honest candidate who respected the will of the people.
