What a stark difference in the applications for CRB. I'd be pissed if I'd been passed over and they chose someone less qualified. This reeks of political payback and I'm sure it will come up in the campaign.
This type of appointment keeps other well qualified people from even trying to volunteer for service to the city.
Of course this is a political appointment! Just like Wes Blackman,Shannon Materio, Brendan Lynch, etc. I think that this young man SHOULD have been picked for the board! Peter is a very controversial figure in this city. He should not have been picked. It would be like appointing Tom Ramiccio to a board!
He's resume is very impressive. He had lived here for two years. He's a practicing attorney. He gets paid to go to work and he did not foreclose on his properties.
"He gets paid to go to work." Hopefully, he will be able to devote all the time it takes to be a mayor of LW, which is a full-time job. I have nothing against Rachel and she is independent of the other commissioners.
Mayor of Lake Worth IS a full time job considering the number of meetings, special meetings and workshops throughout the year. It is rather time consuming. People are contacting you all day long including the press where you have to appear at press conferences, etc. Your personal life is put on hold in many respects.
Rachel Waterman is her own person. If any one of you believe that Cara helped get her elected you are FLAT DEAD WRONG.

Disgraceful!
I wish him well in the election.
Who is he? How long has he been around?
Good luck to him. We could use an elected official that has a job, pays their bills and would be respected in the community.

Rachel is not independent. If he does not think he has time he would not have jumped in the race. Being mayor of LW is not a full time job!
Rachel independent of the other commissioners? Really? I don't think so at all.

How could you know that absolutely?
