Raising the Haitian Flag at Lake Worth City Hall

Haitians and Lake Worth city officials raise flag for unity and its creation.

Forgive me when I say I find this rather ironic when we can raise a flag of a foreign country at our City Hall and we have some people here, even an elected official, who refuse to say the Pledge of Allegiance to our own flag.

While the United States gives untold millions of dollars in aid to Haiti and other countries throughout the world, citizens of the United States are losing their homes and millions are impoverished.

We have been raising foreign flags for decades here in Lake Worth, a tradition that is purely political. Some citizens advocate for open borders as more and more illegals cross them and discount our laws of this country. In September of last year even President Obama allowed the raising of the flag of China at a small park just south of White House in 'honor' of the founding of the People's Republic of China.

Can't politics be nauseating?

When the flags are flown from adjacent staffs, the flag of the United States should be hoisted first and lowered last. No such flag or pennant may be placed above the flag of the United States or to the United States flag's right.
