Hacking Group Connected To China Allegedly Stole Millions in COVID Relief

(ConservativeHub.com) – When Congress began passing bills to provide Americans and their businesses with financial relief during coronavirus lockdowns, many people pointed out it was only a matter of time until bad actors began getting their hands on the money, too.

Years later, the media is publishing multiple stories detailing criminals who stole taxpayer dollars. Now, authorities have learned that even hackers connected to the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) took COVID relief funds.

According to an exclusive NBC News report on Monday, December 5, the Secret Service has said that hackers from the group APT41, connected to the Chinese government, have taken a minimum of $20 million in funds supposed to be for coronavirus relief. Most of it took the form of Small Business Administration loans and unemployment insurance payouts.
