House GOP Release Counter-Report to Jan. 6 Committee’s Report
Folks, I’ve got some bad news. What happened at the Capitol on January 6th was a complete and utter disaster, and it could have been prevented. The whole thing has been under investigation for nearly two years now, but the full story is finally coming out.It looks like House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s office and other House Democrat leadership were more concerned with conducting partisan politics instead of protecting the safety of members, staff, and Capitol Police (USCP) officers. According to a new report, information was only shared with Republicans by USCP Sergeant at Arms Irving after he received instructions from Pelosi’s office.
But with the release of the J6 Committee’s report, comes a counter-report from the Republicans as well.
The GOP group’s report stated that intelligence about the possibility of violence on the day was ignored by U.S. Capitol Police (USCP) owing to “internal politics and unnecessary bureaucracy” and the “misplaced priorities of their leadership.”
