Hunter Biden questions are taboo at Foreign Relations Committee

Panic Breaks Out In Senate After Ted Cruz Exposes Biden's Crimes On The Floor

Tensions were high between New Hampshire Democratic Sen. Jeanne Shaheen and Texas Republican Sen. Ted Cruz as the two clashed during a Senate Foreign Relations Committee hearing on an ambassador nominee. Cruz accused Shaheen of “covering” for President Joe Biden after she prevented nominee George Kent from answering his questions.

Kent was nominated by President Joe Biden in March to serve as ambassador to Estonia and appeared before the committee for his confirmation hearing on Wednesday morning. During the hearing, Cruz asked Kent if he had been instructed not to answer certain questions or provide certain documents related to his previous testimony about Hunter Biden's work in Ukraine — but Shaheen interjected, saying that those questions were outside of the scope of what they were debating and would not be allowed at this hearing.

Cruz then pressed her on whether she was preventing Kent from answering because it could be damaging to President Joe Biden, which prompted an angry retort from Shaheen who shot back, “That is outrageous!” She went on to say that she prevented him from answering because the question wasn't relevant to his confirmation hearing and that it was simply meant to be a way for Republicans to “score political points” against Democrats and their agenda.
