Lake Worth has A Senior Social Program

It's been years since the City of Lake Worth took away the Senior Center. Seniors loved this place and could stroll over there for a nice lunch every day. The City then rented out the Shuffleboard Court building which took away Seniors' Bridge and shuffleboard games which they really enjoyed. Prior to all of that, they took away the concerts in the Park held at the Bryant Park bandshell. So it is more than fitting that they finally have something for Seniors.

The county already offers a program with free lunch and lots of activities, all for free, just go to the senior center on Lake Worth Road every day M-F. It used to be in LW Downtown. Seems like a duplicate program, plus the county one is FREE!

11.02 is right and the county has so much more to offer

The city had plenty to offer the seniors at their senior center. But seniors were pushed aside for Compass. 11:19 are you a senior? Why should they have to drive out to the County? So, now they're going to have a senior program for them right here in the city. That's a good thing.

Are you going to go to it each week Lynn?

We have all of that FREE in my community. So, no.
I am the busiest senior I know but it's a cute question.

The photo shows only African American women, is that all that go to this program in the city? Are there any men or people of other races who go to?

Lynn, we thought you were Republican and did not want a waste of government and downsizing of government and waste, all of this seems like a duplication of services, is this not all a waste of tax payer monies having all these duplicate programs for us seniors?

What we need is a facility for millennials and their friends for all their mental health issues--run by conservatives, of course.

open the schuffle board court back up.for the last few years that was there the city wouldn't let us use it.funny how certain people in this town like to destroy than think they have the answer where to reopen.next the pool will be moved to city hall.[less parking]
