It's difficult to even comprehend that a grievance filed against the City of Lake Worth has gone on for 17 years. But, Joseph Viera, a former police officer for the City, just got a decision from the Appellate court that he is entitled to healthcare benefits for an injury he received while on the job with Lake Worth.
The City didn't like the decision and decided to fight it, wasting more legal fees.
After five months and on tonight's Consent Agenda with zero discussion or back-up, they have agreed to settle with Mr. Viera.

Of course there is no discussion when they are left with egg on their stupid faces.
They have always treated employees like crap. Did they get a raise this year?
