The hairdresser, Ryan Maier, owns his own business, is college educated and as we have found out, is no dummy. What I am looking for in a candidate and in a commissioner is honesty, integrity and someone who puts the people first, not politics. We found that with Commissioner Maier.

You found someone who can take direction from Cara and company. It was impressive at his first meeting, how he picked apart proposed contracts....... almost exactly like Cara used to when she was a commissioner. Absolutely uncanny.

I certainly didn't agree with Cara's position very often, but I did appreciate someone on the dais actually reading the contracts and posing insightful and important questions prior to the City signing off on them.
I think that is a role and a skill that all should appreciate regardless of which "side" you are on.
Those comments show exactly how our "elected officials and tax payor employees" were trying to hide this from the public. These meetings were to be about discussing someone to manage our casino. They were not for disgusting, snide political comments and directing the discussion to recommending Hudson Holdings. Glad it got discovered just in time.

Im glad Cara is reading the backup for Ryan. Someone needs to read it for McCoy. He has never came to the dias prepared except once and that was the last commission meeting when Cara read it for him also.
I like Ryan and pray he will start thinking for himself instead of being another #2 puppet for the cabal. I understand Mark Perillo was going to be a Cabal puppet, but he asked "what if I don't always agree with you." A short time later they replaced him with McVoy.
