Last night's motion of the Selection Committee:
...in essence the motion I made was to recommend to the City Commission that a formal Traffic and Parking Study as well as Impact Analysis be performed with regard to the Beach and Casino Project and its current level of development and the potential development allowed by the Land Development Regulations and the Comprehensive Plan for the Beach and Casino District (BAC).
Thank you.

We can't afford to fill in pot holes. We can't afford to keep our pool open . BUT of course we can pay for yet another study. REALLY PEOPLE ?!? My new priority is electing people who understand what the real priorities in this city are. Katie Mcgiveron
I totall agree! Just get the right people in the position to move the Casino complex forward. Really doesn't make sense to throw another $100,000 at it and get no answers other than a traffic. Get the casino marketed the way it should be. Don't know who is in charge of this but whoever it is needs to be fired and get some fresh ideas.
More studies, how many studies has the City ordered in the past few years, how much did all those studies cost, wouldn't that money be better spent on actual services. Heck take the $100,000 that will be spent on a study and use it for pool operations.
What a collective brain trust you have here. The poster above thinks the city should keep doing what it's doing, but just get the right people to do it. Huh?
And the fresh ideas he wants get shouted down with signs being made up against things that are not even decided or officially proposed yet.
