Two men from Smarty Plants were there early to dig the hole. The entire process was timed well, from the digging of the hole to the arrival of the crane to lift the Gumbo Limbo into its final resting place at the Cultural Plaza, downtown Lake Worth. Several people were there to see this momentous event: Dave McGrew our Arborist was there to oversee the project, Richard Stowe, Chair of the Tree Board, Helen Marino, Susan & Ozzie Ona, Matthew and his dog, Javier Del Sol, Ted Brownstein, Mary Lindsey and several others. Commissioner Ryan Maier came for the planting, the only commissioner who attended.

After it was planted, we spotted Mark Easton from the LWHerald and Mike Bornstein, city manager, who took time out of his busy day to see the newly planted tree.

Don't forget to thank the CRA, they paid $1,000 towards this wonderful new tree. And great choice, Gumbo Limbo couldn't be a better option
So glad Ryan showed up he was missed at the So.Palm Park meeting, as well as at the Volunteer Breakfast.
Well, we missed the mayor, the vice mayor and Amoroso this morning at the tree event. People can't get to every meeting and every event. They have jobs and need to earn a living. $14,500 doesn't cut it.
The new commissioner has been sworn in . . . let the pettiness begin!! Nice start. More to come, no doubt.
"Point of Information" says: the pettiness has started on both sides.
Well on $14500 a year, how does he afford a personal assistant?????
Please elaborate.

Our representative over here in ROLO, Maxwelll, has missed EVERY meeting of ROLO since it was created !!!(Except for the one where he showed up unannounced to shove a baseball stadium in JPP up our butts. He got mad and huffed out when he found out that ROLO rules prevented any Commissioner from speaking unless previously invited. And no, Maxwell didn't get kicked out -he chose to leave. )
Was Ryan even INVITED to the meeting by you rude SOB's over in So. Palm Park?
