Our Flag and Ferguson

Comment Up

I'm not sure if being an atheist and a criminal in Ferguson burning our American Flag go hand in hand but somehow it is all a negative for our country. National Guard troops maneuvered their way through the crowd of cheering and laughing protesters. The man, seeming dumbfounded by what the Guardsmen were doing, said as they passed him, “It’s a piece of cloth.

It may not be "their" flag, but it is ours and it is a living symbol of our nation's law: the Constitution of the United States and the Bill of Rights. This is something that MUST be taught in schools.

The US flag? A lot of the immigrants do no respect it either right here in Lake Worth.
Lynn have you driven down the 900 block of North B St lately? Someone has a large flag pole flying only the Guatemalan flag very high in the 900 block of N B St. I thought the rule/protocol on flags is that in the US you are supposed to fly the US flag above any other countries flag? This seems disrespectful in the US or in our city. Einstein said that nationalism was in infantile disease. If Guatemala was such a great country, why do so many come here? Flying their damn flags in our country, go back to Guat land.
