Marco Rubio is a stand up guy. He's also an expert on Cuba, being the son of Cuban immigrants whose family left the communist country and a country that continues to violate civil rights to this day. He told it like it is regarding Cuba and Obama's exchange of one prisoner for three Cuban prisoners housed in the United States--"Obama is the worst negotiator since Jimmy Carter--the worst negotiator in the history of the country."
In March, H.R. 488, was approved by the House. It condemns the government of
Venezuela for the “inexcusable violence perpetrated against opposition
leaders and protesters […] and the growing efforts to use politically
motivated criminal charges to intimidate the country’s political
opposition. Now, Obama wants to normalize relations with Cuba. How do you do that with a country that is backing Venezuela?

Rubio is right in everything he said about Obama and Cuba. I knew people in our church who had their company nationalized and all of their property taken by Castro.Half of their employees were murdered, and the clinic that they operated for the town was burned down. They were allowed to leave the island with only the clothes on their backs because they were American citizens. Back then, there was still some advantage to being an American citizen.Cuba deals with many other countries. The Cuban people still live in poverty and are starving.When Obama leaves office, he should retire to Cuba. I'm sure that the Castro's would welcome one of their own with open arms.
Obama is one of the best most open, problem solvers we have had as president since Roosevelt. Thank God someone is willing to resolve issues and open doors. Obama has done so much as president in his terms then the last ten presidents combined. Bravo Obama! You will go down in history as being one of the most respected and effective modern day presidents. Kudos to you President Obama, another great move!
Unfortunately, the only people who will agree with you, anonymous at 11:43, are other progressive, socialistic left-wing Democrats who also want to sell our great country down the river. Thank God he will be out of office in 2 years unless he destroys us first.
It is wrong for Rubio to use words like ignorant for our President to want to work with and make our allies stronger and to start building bridges with each other again. Obama should be applauded and should win the Nobel Peace Prize again, he is one of the only presidents in more recent history willing to negotiate and problem solve so that the entire world can get along, he wants peace and wants a better world, including Cuba. Rubio is looking ignorant sounding uncooperative and not much of a problem solver here.
Obama wants to improve relations and make the world a better place, we have a lot of Cubans here, that was years ago, and silly any way, Obama is only building bridge why do you say he is destroying our country? I found this so odd.

Obama seems like the only open, flexible, adjustable, problem solver as President in many years. Thank God he is doing things good for our world, he is showing effectiveness, the economy is back, the jobs, people feel secure now, he takes so much blame from people who don't open their minds to see all he is doing and has done. He should be applauded for making inroads. Thank you President Obama!The best and most effective president in the past 50 years.
To the Obama lover and the other 47% who still beleive he is doing great things for this country--open your eyes as to what is going on here and on the world stage. His rating should be much less today after what he just did with Cuba. I don't understand how one guy can change our policy like this and jump in bed with the "enemy." Amazing! As far as the Nobel Peace Prize, he never deserved it to begin with.

The whole world is in approval of what Obama wants to do in building bridges and burying hatchets. Thank God we have some open-minded leaders like Obama who listens and works with all sides for a better world.
Why would someone be a naysayer to building bridges and improving relationships in this world?
This is long overdue, most Republicans agree. Cuba, on its own is no threat to the USA.
Not the point, anonymous at 2:37. I guess you weren't around during the Cuban Missile crisis? I guess you don't know that Russia is building a spy base on the island of Cuba. I guess you don't know that its people have few rights there and are thrown into jail for speaking out...on and on and on.
We should never have diplomatic relations with a regime such as this. By doing so, we are condoning their politics and human rights failures, etc.,etc., etc..
So you would rather have Cuba under Russian influence then the US. Do you want Russian drilling oil 90 miles from us? Russia is the enemy, not Cuba.
Is the Chinese "regime" any better? It's worse, yet we have no problem sending our manufacturing there and no problem consuming their products.
Twisting the narrative again. China nowadays is a capitalist-driven economy and not really a communist nation as is Cuba. Citizens of the People's Republic of China enjoy freedom of speech, of the press, of assembly, of association, of procession and of demonstration. In cuba these rights don't exist.
Fine, let's continue to ignore Cuba and keep it under Russian influence, let them drill oil off our shore because the Russians are well known to be environmentally sensitive and wouldn't dare pollute our waters.
