In talking about the various cities and PB State College that owe the city of Lake Worth millions of dollars in the sub-regional sewer system and the State's order of an in-depth review--
The broad audit would put the city at a substantial disadvantage in collecting money that it is due.
~Susan Stanton
"The Joint Legislative Auditing Committee (of which Jeff Clemens serves), asked Auditor General David Martin to conduct an operational and financial audit of the city's sewer system, granting him broad leeway to look into the dispute between the city and its seven regional sewage partners in Palm Beach County."
Read more about it HERE.
Jeff Clemens says all this occurred before he became mayor of Lake worth.

It's about time we are getting an audit.
The commission better wake up and smell the stink here. Staff has controlled this city too long because we have had commissioners who have no idea how a good business is supposed to run. The commissioners are like a board of directors at a company. They must demand a full accounting of every dollar coming in and out of the city. If the utility is the biggest producer of city funds than that's where you start. The fact that they did not demand an internal auditor in a time of financial crisis is in my opinion close to criminal. We need to send a loud voice this November to this group. We need outside auditors to come in and clean up the mess now and the commission needs its own internal auditor to get to the truth.
Amen, John. Who knows what will come out of this intensive audit. It might bring down the entire Utility...the black hole that has been completely covered-up.
Scot Menke needs to be re-hired as our Internal Auditor if he would even take the job after the way he was treated.
We should have prosecuted employees when suggested by our auditor but instead, it was all swept under the rug back then.
Who knows, we might get the FBI in here yet. (I love conspiracy theories!)
Turn on the shredders--here come the State Auditors. :)

We absolutely must have an audit of the electric utility. That's where you will find out where all the missing money went through the years and why Mock Roos is still making millions every year. The Commission needs to open its eyes.
WHOOWEE !!!I'll bet some dirty PAVERS had to make an undies change when they found out that the state auditors were FINALLY coming to look into their little kingdom!Might be time to rethink that run for office,,,,,
