He employed 12 to 15 people and sometimes had sales close to $100,000 in a month.
Palm Beach Code Enforcement closed him down because of signage and other infractions saying he was not in compliance. No prepared food was allowed to be sold there and he was told that he couldn't even sell water.
Now there will be 15 people in the unemployment line and the taxes he was generating for the County disappeared because of bureaucracy.
To the point of "stupid" in this case, government needs to help and cooperate with business owners who are creating jobs and who are trying very hard to earn a living. Signs should be in compliance but not be the determining factor to the closing of a viable business especially when the economy is fragile. Times are tough. Should the government be also?

this is a double edge sword in my opinion , so now the government is going to own everything This is what Fidel Castro did in Cuba. The government should be concerned of the safety of it's people ( which really they are not) but, they should not come in to operate or take over any ownership of private business--government cannot operate anything.
If we follow the money, and the government, then we can see why we are having so much trouble with all products that are being manufactured in this country today. Our governments have complications and have gotten so involved into the going on's of private business that it's all a mess. In fact for every solution that government puts in to place it creates more complexity and more problems.
This is a prime example.
