Biden has suggested Restricting Travel to Florida

Biden Looking To Restrict Travel Of Law Abiding Republicans!

"Florida is a well run red state, even with people coming in illegally and a virus that has an enormous survival rate. Biden is considering blocking travel to Florida, among other states.

COVID has mutated and will continue to do so. It’s a virus and that’s what they do to survive. Each variant is more deadly than the other but you can’t trust the CDC numbers anymore.

The ultimate goal is the New World Order so freedom needs to be squashed. But it’s a natural human condition to want to be free. Worldwide. That’s why people flock here."

MIAMI — The White House is considering restrictions on domestic travel given emerging variants of COVID-19, according to the Miami Herald.

This may include travel restrictions in several states, the newspaper says, including Florida and California. President Joe Biden's administration reportedly is worried that new outbreaks, like the U.K. variant, could provide setbacks in the fight against the coronavirus.

Actually, if I never saw another tourist, that would suit me fine!

9.19 if you think gas prices are going to soar what do you think your taxes will do without tourists.careful what you wish for

Thank goodness for tourists that come here and spend money for goods and services. I feel so sorry for the locals who have been left behind financially and culturally it’s easy to see why they are upset.

Then why don't you go and buy something from them, 3:26. And to 2:21, gas prices aren't set, by the number of people who visit Florida.
Have you been out to 441 lately? You think we need more people here? Who is going to pay for the wear and tear on the roads?

I say to the tourists: keep your virus germs in NY, NJ, PA, MA, and Ohio. At least, we didn't have the Quebecers this year.

Tourism is Florida's biggest industry and drives our GDP growth, contributing more than $130 billion a year. Without tourism, we would have a state income tax and taxes would be out of sight. Hotels and businesses would close, cities would die and we would be hurting.

7:57; racist much? Why mention Quebecois and not Ontarians? They all keep a low profile, maintain property and pay their bills. Many Condo association would go under without them and turn into free housing for addicts. THINK!

@9:22...Democrats love to call everyone a racist who does not agree with them. Take a hike. What a ridiculous comment. Condominiums follow the Florida law, have rules and regulations, etc.

9:41 I am not a Dem.

I understand that tourism is an industry. It also impacts, negatively, the quality of life for year round residents.

Tourists are responsible for destroying some of the wonders of the world. I could compare them to the grackles that inhabit the shopping centers.

As far as a state tax, that is an income tax. States with a tax on income, generally have a higher salary than states with no income tax.

As for the people from Quebec, they don't like us either.

Florida's minimum wage will be at $10 an hour starting in September of this year. Citizens of Florida voted on a $15 minimum wage to be incorporated over 5 years. We're definitely not Calif, NY, State of Washington etc. where they have a lot of financial problems and are paying a higher wage. We have a law that forces us to balance our budget.

I'm not talking about minimum wage jobs Lynn. For arguments sake, lets say you make 360.00 a week and the State Income Tax is 2%. You would pay about 7 dollars in state tax, which would then be deductible on your Federal Tax return.

Unless you are a high income earner, the state tax isn't worth mentioning.

I would rather pay a state income tax than have tourists destroying my natural resources and crowding out the local residents.

Look closely at buildings around LW that were once thriving, clean condo associations- now? Not so much, and understand that they once had decent people, rules and regulations. Florida law? Just try to make an honest complaint with the state. Try to ask a board member why "rule" flaunters get away with everything and you'll get no answer. Why are there so many dogs in a pet free environment? Why are newbies running businesses in a residential zone.

@2:25...I am a rule person. There are about 5 people in my building (that represents 25% which is a large percentage) who want to break rules and they hate me for enforcing our documents. It is the times today. People are volatile, in your face and hate your guts for doing your job. Social Media inspired that behavior. That is probably why some condos ignore some rule breakers. It is too bad because they have a duty to enforce. And this ends up costing the Association legal fees when it should not be necessary. These people should not buy into a condo.

There is an old saying: "Rules are made to be broken"

Condo Boards can't enforce rules, because they do not have policing powers. All they can do is fine people with fines that are noncollectable, unless they are enforced by a court. Imagine what that would cost. Dogs are allowed if they have an ESA status. Problem people usually have problem dogs. Good people have good dogs.

High end condos have the same problems with people and dogs.

You always have to be compensating for bad behavior. That's the trick of good Condo Management.

Lynn Anderson said...

Compensating in what way?

3:38 really understands the Condo of today. It's certainly true that fining is useless. Condo associations are broke so attorney intervention can be afforded only occasionally. Flaunters know this. No, they shouldn't buy condos, but they do and nearly always lie at interview. People now cannot be trusted.

Dogs. The Lucerne allowed dogs. Owners tired of the long trip outside to walk them. They let them run the beige carpeted halls which were soon stained with poop. I saw and smelled it. Disgusting to say the least. Not the dogs, the entitled dog owners.

Lynn Anderson said...

Yes, why we do NOT allow dogs. That will be the next thing I will have to deal with. There is always some wise guy who gets a doctor's prescription that he/she needs a support animal.
