First of all, don't listen to Democrats. Next, don't listen to the Fake News Media such as CNN that recently said James Madison thought the Electoral College was evil, a shameful absurdity. James Madison was one of the creators of our Constitution. The Electoral College was not established to benefit slavery, one of the stupid rumors out there.

“The tyranny of the majority” – was that a faction could grow to encompass more than 50 percent of the population, at which point it could “sacrifice to its ruling passion or interest both the public good and the rights of other citizens.”
